Description
This apple variety was imported to Bulgaria from America more than 35 years ago. A strong-growing tree, with high fertility. Flowering is late and abundant. Pollinators are: Gala, Fuji, Golden Superb, Granny Smith and others. Ripens in the second decade of September. A variety resistant to winter frosts and spring, late frosts. Slightly sensitive to powdery mildew and scab. The fruits are large, round to heart-shaped (for this reason the apple is called red heart). The skin is yellow-green, covered with a fuzzy bright red to dark red, with light dots. The fruit flesh is yellow, dense, juicy, loose, sweet, aromatic and with excellent taste. A winter variety that is stored for 6 months in refrigerated rooms or chambers. It tolerates transportation and handling well.
