Description
Carmen pear is a strong growing tree. It ripens in the first ten days of August. Flowering is medium early and is not affected by late spring frosts. It has a good affinity for quince pads. Pollinators for it are William’s buttercup, tosca, conference, etc. Fruits are medium to large, bottle-shaped. The skin is smooth yellow-green with a shiny red in the places where the sun’s rays shine on it all day. The flesh of the fruit is medium fine, sweet, aromatic, melting. It is consumed fresh. The fruit is suitable for making preserves and confectionery. Withstands transport, handling and processing. Store in cool, dark and dry rooms or in refrigerators for about 6 months.
